For the first time in years, a reason to care about The Simpsons again

The Simpsons hasn't been funny or socially relevant for years, and the movie is about 5 years late, but those folks sure do know how to put on an advertising campaign. 7-Elevens recast as Kwik-E-Marts? Quality.

My favorite quote: "At 7-Eleven, they're hoping it shows the ubiquitous chain has a trait seen in few corporations — the ability to laugh at themselves."

I went by one in Culver City on Venice today as they were putting the signs up and thought "what the hell is that? either Fox is behind this, and it's a genius marketing move, or someone's getting sued tomorrow for copyright infringement."
